Who are the members of the IAPSP?
Our members represent three distinct segments; Service Professionals include Estate Managers, Butlers, Household Managers, Personal Assistants, Management Couples, Private Chefs, Managers of Executive Protection, Nanny Managers, Enlisted Aides, Protocol Officers and more. The second segment includes Staffing Agencies, Educators and Consultants specifically catering to the Private Service industry, and which we have defined as our Occupational Services group. Finally, our Associate Business members directly support our first two membership groups or more directly, the elite clientele of the luxury market.
The IAPSP also cooperates with membership-based organizations operating within disciplines that are similar to those represented by the IAPSP and formally recognizes them as Affiliate Organizations.
The IAPSP is an independent and non-profit 501(c)(6) organization that is focused on encouraging, protecting, refining and preserving the core values of private service. Because of this, the IAPSP is rapidly becoming the place to get candid and impartial answers on private service matters. It is also a place to corroborate on a level playing field with like-minded colleagues and give back in ways that enhance the larger community in the process.
The IAPSP is governed by a small Board of Directors that is supported by its members who volunteer their time to work on committees and special projects. Through our collaborative efforts, members of the working team form peer connections, gain larger perspective of the whole of the community and then support and learn from each other. We produce many programs for the benefit of the community such as our annual conference and our monthly workshops.
What the IAPSP is not is a placement agency; however, members network with their colleagues and make referrals for positions we may hear of. Nor, are we a structured educational institution, although we do create and promote educational workshops and seminars where members can learn about topics central to professional level service experiences in the private home. Finally, we are not a social club, but open networking is central to the services we provide, and many new friendships are forged at our meetings.
If it's time for you to get involved in your larger vocational community in a meaningful way, we encourage you to stay connected with us by checking back here often, joining our newsletter distribution list, attending a meeting or participating in one of our upcoming surveys. You may even demonstrate your alignment and commitment to our objectives by becoming a member of the IAPSP, right now! Learn More…
